Pope Joan - Die Päpstin     .flv 7MB   Online
Edit: Quicktime version 10 MB.
First, short teaser for the German adaptation of Donna Woolfolk Cross' novel about a 9th century woman (Johanna Wokalek) of English extraction born in the German city of Ingelheim who disguises herself as a man and rises through the Vatican ranks and eventually reaches the papal throne. Also part of the cast are John Goodman, David Wenham, Anatole Taubman and Iain Glen. What's being said in the trailer is mainly a long "official announcement" maybe the proclamation of a new pope.
It took some time to get the movie into production since the first choice director (Volker Schlöndorff) as well as the lead actress (Franka Potente) left the movie for different reasons. The movie is now being directed by the internationally relatively unknown Sönke Wortmann who's previous successes in Germany includes The Miracle of Bern, Little Sharks and Maybe...Maybe Not. Wokalek is a well respected stage actress who in recent years started to appear in movies more often. She's been nominated for the German Film Awards twice, most recently for her role in the Oscar nominated Baader Meinhof Komplex. While Potente would've been the more popular choice, I can see Wokalek playing the role at least as well. A few production stills.

Taking Woodstock     .mov 19MB   .flv 21MB   Online
Trailer for the latest movie from Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, The Ice Storm, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). It's a nostalgic comedy about a young man (Demetri Martin) working at his parents' motel in the Catskills inadvertently sets in motion the generation-defining concert in the summer of 1969. Eclectic cast includes Liev Schreiber, Emile Hirsch, Imelda Staunton, Eugene Levy, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kelli Garner.
Movie will be part of the official competition in Cannes next month. Speaking of, the full line-up of Cannes got released last week. I can't say for sure if the trailer links will be stable so I've included alternatives.

Adam     HD480p 49MB   HD720p 120MB
Romantic comedy with some serious undertones about a lonely electronic engineer (Hugh Dancy) who's suffering from Asperger syndrome who has all his life led a sheltered existence when he meets his new neighbour, an elementary school teacher (Rose Byrne) who pulls him into the outside world, with funny, touching and entirely unexpected results. Peter Gallagher and Amy Irving play the girl's parents.
Could be a nice little movie though I'm not entirely sold by the trailer.

G-Force     HD480p 46MB   HD720p 120MB
Full trailer for this family movie from Disney produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It's about a specially trained squad of guinea pigs (voices by Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz, Steve Buscemi, Tracy Morgan) which is dispatched to stop a diabolical billionaire (Bill Nighy) from taking over the world.
I'm afraid Bill Nighy's line "It's not easy to take over the world" might make parts of the trailer worth watching but probably not the whole movie. However, the trailer can be used to play the trailer variation of Bullshit Bingo (watch out for poo, zipper and fart jokes).

Antichrist     21 MB
Different but equally creepy trailer for Lars von Trier's (Dancer in the Dark, Dogville, Breaking the Waves) latest movie. It's a dramatic (horror-)thriller about a grieving couple (Willem Dafoe, Charlotte Gainsbourg) who, following the death of their child, retreats to 'Eden', their isolated cabin in the woods, where they hope to repair their broken hearts and troubled marriage. But nature takes its course and things go from bad to worse.
As mentioned before, the movie will also be part of the competition in Cannes.
