Where the Wild Things Are     HD480p 38MB   HD720p 84MB   HD1080p 150MB
Wonderful looking trailer, one of the best so far this year, for Spike Jonze's (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation.) first movie in seven years. It's an adaptation of a children's book by Maurice Sendak in which a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world - a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown him as their ruler. Cast members are (either in person or lending their voices) Catherine Keener, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose, Chris Cooper, James Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara and Forest Whitaker.
I hesitate to mention it but the movie will only be out in October. But here's the song from the trailer: The Arcade Fire - Wake Up.

Rain Fall     13 MB
Trailer from Japan for a thriller that's an adaptation of a novel by Barry Eisler. It's about a hit man named John Rain (Kippei Shiina) who has formerly been a member of the U.S. Special Forces. When he starts to protect the daughter of one of his victims he suddenly has to deal with all kinds of parties. Gary Oldman plays the CIA's station chief in Japan.
If done right and if it stays true to the book this could be a very nice thriller. Since it's mainly a Japanese film movie, it's partially in English and partially in Japan. It's produced by Sony, so an international release one way or the other hopefully will follow.

Astro Boy     HD480p 24MB   HD720p 58MB
Another short trailer for the big screen version of the manga comic/TV series. It's about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist to replace the son he has lost. Unable to fulfil the grieving father's expectations, our hero embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators, before he returns to save Metro City and reconcile with the man who had rejected him. It will feature the voices of Freddie Highmore, Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane and Bill Nighy.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs     10 MB
The full trailer for another sequel from the Ice Age franchise. Scrat is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut (while, maybe, finding true love), Manny (Ray Romano) and Ellie (Queen Latifah) await the birth of their mini-mammoth, Sid (John Leguizamo) the sloth gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs; and Diego (Denis Leary) the saber-toothed tiger wonders if he's growing too "soft" hanging with his pals.

Watchmen: Under the Hood / Tales of the Black Freighter     UtH SilkSpectre   UtH NiteOwl    TotBF Trailer   TotBF Clip
Parallel to the movie they released a DVD that mainly contains two features. One is a 37 minute fake documentary about the book Under the Hood that's written in the comic by Hollis Mason/Nite Owl and that features some of the Minutemen. The second one is a 26 minute animated movie that tells the Tales of the Black Freighter, also part of the graphic novel. I'm not sure if these things warrant paying some extra money, especially since I'd suspect they might be part of the upcoming DVD (which already will feature a longer version of the movie) but I wanted to mention that it exists.
Two clips from Under the Hood (about Silk Spectre and Nite Owl) and a brief trailer and a clip from Tales of the Black Freighter to give you an impression what the two features look like.
