1917, The Lighthouse, JoJo Rabbit, Light of My Life, The Goldfinch

1917     HD720p 70MB
First trailer for the latest movie directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall, Jarhead), an intense war drama. At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (George MacKay) and Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers - Blake’s own brother among them. Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch are also part of the cast.

The Lighthouse     HD720p 61MB
Psychological drama that follows the slow descent into madness of two lighthouse keepers (Willem Dafoe, Robert Pattinson) on a remote New England island at the turn of the 19th century. Directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch).
While not taking part in the main competition, was very well received in Cannes, with reviewers praising the performances of Dafoe and Pattinson.

JoJo Rabbit     HD720p 16MB
Short teaser for this World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism. Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, Stephen Merchant and Alfie Allen are also part of the cast. Is is also directed and adapted for the big screen by Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do in the Shadows).
Comedies about Hitler can be tricky. Fingers crossed Waititi will be able to pull it off.

Light of My Life     HD720p 98MB
Parent and child journey through the outskirts of society, set in a dystopian era, a decade after a pandemic has wiped out half the world’s population. As a father (Casey Affleck) struggles to protect his child, their bond, and the character of humanity, is tested. Elisabeth Moss is also part of the cast. It is also written and directed by Affleck.
Looks a little less cheery than The Road.

The Goldfinch     HD720p 95MB
A second trailer for this coming-of-age drama, that tries to be a little more upbeat compared to the unbelievably depressing first one. Theodore "Theo" Decker (Ansel Elgort) was 13 years old when his mother was killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tragedy changes the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt, reinvention and redemption, and even love. Through it all, he holds on to one tangible piece of hope from that terrible day ... a painting of a tiny bird chained to its perch. The Goldfinch. Nicole Kidman, Aneurin Barnard, Sarah Paulson, Luke Wilson, Jeffrey Wright are also part of the cast. Directed by John Crowley (Brooklyn, Boy A, Closed Circuit).
