Boat That Rocked, Che - Argentine/Guerrilla, Forever Enthralled, Black Balloon, Little Ashes

The Boat That Rocked     22 MB
A first trailer has turned up (I believe ripped from the Mamma Mia DVD) for the upcoming movie written and directed by Richard Curtis (Love Actually and writer of Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral). It's an ensemble comedy in which the romance takes place between the young people of the '60s and pop music. It's about a band of rogue DJs (Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Nick Frost, Rhys Ifans) on a boat that captivated Britain, playing the music that defined a generation and standing up to a government that, incomprehensibly, preferred jazz. Also part of the cast are Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Jack Davenport and Gemma Arterton.
What a cast! And Nighy still has the moves.

Che: The Argentine - Guerrilla     HD480p 48MB   HD720p 127MB    Interview 45MB
US trailer for Steven Soderbergh's four hour movie(s) about the controversial Argentine Marxist revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara (Benicio Del Toro). The first part, also known as The Argentine, focuses on the beginning of the Cuban Revolution with Fidel Castro. The second, known as Guerrilla, covers later events like Che's appearance in New York before the United Nations and his attempt to start further Latin American revolutions. Among the cast members are Franka Potente, Benjamin Bratt, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Julia Ormond, Lou Diamond Phillips and Rodrigo Santoro.
The two movies together will play for a week in the NY and LA and starting January there will be a nationwide release as two movies. Also, an interview featurette with Soderbergh and Del Toro.

Forever Enthralled - Mei Lanfang     15 MB
An English-subtitled trailer for this epic looking biographical drama that tells the story of Mei Lanfang (Leon Lai), China's greatest opera star. It also stars Zhang Ziyi and Masanobu Ando. Directed by Chen Kaige (Farewell My Concubine, The Emperor and the Assassin).

The Black Balloon     HD480p 46MB   HD720p 116MB    Austral 21MB
Intense coming of age drama from Australia about a young man's struggle to deal with his family. When his pregnant mother (Toni Collette) has to take things easy, his father puts him in charge of his autistic older brother Charlie. With the help of his new girlfriend he faces his biggest challenge yet. Charlie's unusual antics take him on an emotional journey that causes his pent-up frustrations about his brother to pour out in a story that is funny, confronting, and ultimately heart-warming.
Limited release in the US starting this week. Additionally, the Australian trailer version.

Little Ashes     HD480p 66MB   HD720p 134MB
Drama that takes place in the midst of the repression and political unrest of pre-Spanish Civil War, eccentric artist Salvador Dalí (Robert Pattinson) and renowned poet and revolutionary Federico García Lorca (Javier Beltran) find their artistic and sexual freedom. The two form a bond challenged by their fierce ambitions, their friends, the struggle between a love for Spain and a love for each other. And there's also Luis Buñuel (Matthew McNulty).
I suspect this movie would get a lot less interest without Robert Pattinson and his hair.
