Crossing Over, O'Horten, 2012, Lodger, Bolt

Crossing Over     HD480p 50MB   HD720p 116MB
Multi-character drama about immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles. It deals with the border, document fraud, the asylum and green card process, work-site enforcement, naturalization, the office of counter terrorism and the clash of cultures. Extensive cast includes Harrison Ford, Ashley Judd, Jim Sturgess, Alicia Braga, Alice Eve, Ray Liotta, Cliff Curtis and Summer Bishil. Written and directed by Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Running Scared).
Obvious influences are Traffic and Crash but it looks more forced on the "emotional" and patriotic side. And if you still worship the fresh-faced Harrison Ford, a word of caution, here he looks more his real age.

O'Horten     HD480p 45MB   HD720p 110MB
Laconic, comedic drama from Norway about a sixty-seven-year-old man who after forty long, hardworking years, retires from his dutiful, comfortably routine position as a train engineer. With his new-found freedom and lack of daily structure, he finds it increasingly difficult to adapt to his new and unruly existence as a pensioner. Little does he know that his uneventful way of living is about to take an invigoratingly quirky turn, as he will soon discover that life still has much more in store for him.
The movie's written and directed by Bent Hamer (Factotum, Kitchen Stories) and if you've seen either one of those two movies then you are familiar with his typical deadpan Scandinavian humour as well as his usually still very charming characters.

2012     HD480p 23MB   HD720p 47MB
First teaser for Roland Emmerich's (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 10,000 BC) latest "disaster" movie. This time it centres on the year 2012 which apparently in some cultures marks an historic event. From the wikipedia entry about this "phenomenon": "There is disagreement among believers as to whether 2012 will see an end of civilization, or humanity will be elevated to a higher level." Or both? Since the movie's directed by Emmerich you can probably guess what the movie's mainly about. Nobody can be seen in the teaser yet, but cast members include John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Thomas McCarthy and Woody Harrelson.

The Lodger     HD480p 17MB   HD720p 53MB
Teaser for a "version of" the silent classic from 1927 by Alfred Hitchcock about a couple who rents out a room to a mysterious young man (Simon Baker), who may or may not be guilty of a series of grisly neighbourhood murders. It appears that the murderer's methods are identical to that of London's infamous 19th century psychopath Jack the Ripper. To make matters worse, the lead detective (Alfred Molina) soon notices the parallels between the crimes committed and those of a serial murderer incarcerated years ago. Hope Davis, Shane West, Rachael Leigh Cook, Donal Logue, Philip Baker Hall and Rebecca Pidgeon round up the cast.

Bolt     HD480p 76MB   HD720p 156MB    Clip1   Clip2   Clip3
Another full trailer for this animated movie from Disney about super-dog Bolt (John Travolta) whose every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue, at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet - a cross-country journey through the real world. He gets help from a jaded, abandoned housecat (Susie Essman) and a TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball. Miley Cyrus, Malcolm McDowell, Greg Germann and James Lipton will also lend their voices.
Additionally, three extended clips, each about three minutes long.
