Revolutionary Road     8 MB
I think I've been waiting two weeks now for a decent quality version of this trailer to appear. But it seems to be one of those cases when hi-def versions will only be released the day after I wrote about it. So here's a tiny flash-based copy of the trailer for this drama about a young couple (Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio) living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s that struggles to come to terms with their personal problems while trying to raise their two children. Trapped in a world of encoded convention, they dream without faith, as lies and self-deceptions build to explosive consequences. Based on a novel by Richard Yates. Also part of the Titanic reunion is Kathy Bates. Directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Jarhead).

Bride Wars      .flv 9MB   .mov 27MB
Comedy about two best friends (Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson) who become rivals when they schedule their respective weddings on the same day. Candice Bergen, Bryan Greenberg, Steve Howey, and Kristen Johnston round up the cast. Directed by Gary Winick (13 Going on 30, Charlotte's Web).
Girls, seriously, you are better than this. I hope.

Waltz With Bashir     HD480p 41MB   HD720p 98MB
The US trailer for this "animated documentary," by Israeli director Ari Folman in which he tries to recapture his memories as a member of the Israeli Army of the massacres that took place in two Palestinian refugee camps in 1982. He decides to meet and interview old friends and comrades around the world, trying to discover the truth about that time and about himself. As he delves deeper and deeper into the mystery, his memory begins to creep up in even more enigmatic images.
From what I read, given its more grim subject, it's not as easy to watch as Persepolis but the animation style looks very interesting, somewhat similar to Richard Linklater's A Scanner Darkly and Waking Life.

Good Dick     9 MB
Low budget, comedic drama about the idiosyncratic romance of video store clerk (Jason Ritter) and a female customer (Marianna Palka who also wrote and directed the movie) who rents "erotic" DVDs from him. As the title indicates it's one of those movies who has some very explicit dialogue. But despite that it still looks like an intimate and charming movie. It's probably not for everyone but reviews from festivals indicate it's well worth a look.

The Day the Earth Stood Still     112 MB
Extensive, seven minute preview that recently screened on Fox TV of Hollywood's "contemporary reinvention" of the sci-fi classic starring Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly and Kathy Bates.

Eagle Eye     Unscripted 50MB    Clip
Ten minute unscripted interview (plus another interview clip) with some pretty funny bits with (almost) everybody's sweetheart Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan and director D.J. Caruso talking about their movie as well as gadgets.
