The Day the Earth Stood Still     HD480p 32MB   HD720p 75MB   HD1080p 122MB
Hollywood dug deep to unearth another classic they can mutilate, pardon, I mean, make a "contemporary reinvention" of. Dramatic sci-fi movie about an alien visitor (Keanu Reeves) and his giant robot counterpart who visit Earth and triggers a global upheaval. As governments and scientists race to unravel the mystery behind the visitor's appearance, a woman (Jennifer Connelly) and her young stepson (Jaden Smith, son of Will) get caught up in his mission - and come to understand the ramifications of his being a self-described "friend to the Earth." Kathy Bates, John Cleese and Jon Hamm are also part of the cast.

Blindness     HD480p 31MB   HD720p 106MB    4 Clips
Full trailer for Fernando Meirelles' (The Constant Gardener, City of God) movie adaptation of the novel by Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago. It's a dramatic thriller about a doctor's wife (Julianne Moore) who becomes the only person with the ability to see in a town where everyone is struck with a mysterious case of sudden blindness. She feigns illness in order to take care of her husband (Mark Ruffalo) as her surrounding community breaks down into chaos and disorder. Gael García Bernal, Alice Braga, Sandra Oh and Danny Glover round up the cast.

Knowing     .flv 41MB   .wmv HD720p 96MB
First trailer for this dramatic, supernatural thriller about a teacher (Nicolas Cage) who opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school. In it are some chilling predictions, written 50 years ago - some that have already occurred and others that are about to - that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold. Rose Byrne plays the daughter of the woman who wrote the cryptic prophecies.
The bad news, about 4 to 6 screenwriters worked on the script. The interesting, possibly good news, it's directed by Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City, I Robot).

The Mutant Chronicles     US 6MB    Russian 29MB
Dark and violent sci-fi action movie based on a role-playing game and/or computer video game. It's the 23rd century, Earth's natural resources have been exhausted by mankind and battle rages between soldiers of four leading Corporations. But they also have to face another enemy, hordes of hideous necromutants, with boneblades that grow from their arms. Thomas Jane plays a soldier, John Malkovich a corporate leader, Ron Perlman the leader of the Brotherhood, an ancient monastic order, keeper of the book that contains the prophecy of the rise of the mutants. Devon Aoki, Benno Fürmann and Pras are also part of the eclectic cast.
You can choose between a US teaser and a very different trailer in Russian, both indicating that it will probably be visually interesting and quite bloody. And also a mess.

Death Defying Acts     13 MB
Finally a decent English language trailer for this movie about famous magician Harry Houdini. On a tour of Britain in 1926, Houdini (Guy Pearce) enters into a passionate affair with a psychic (Catherine Zeta-Jones) out to con the famous magician. Saoirse Ronan in another remarkable performance plays her daughter, Timothy Spall Houdini's manager. Directed by Gillian Armstrong (Little Women, Oscar and Lucinda)

Hellboy II: The Golden Army     Spot Lipton
After so much apocalyptic doom and gloom I feel obliged to end on a lighter note. A 20 sec. TV spot in which Hellboy is guest at "Inside the Actors Studio" with James Lipton. Lipton is also briefly mentioned in the recently posted unscripted interview with the cast of Hancock that I can also recommend if you're in need of a good laugh.
