Run Lola Run

Euro 2008 semi-finals

I'm happy to report that the previous poll wasn't able to predict a single winner of the quarter-finals. Which just shows you how unpredictable this tournament is so far. Three games going to extra time and two penalty shootouts reducing our collective life expectancy by a couple of years.
But of course that shouldn't discourage us from trying again, so who do you think will emerge as the winners of the semi-finals?

Edit: Games are about to begin, poll is closed. Thanks for voting!
Poll #1209582 Euro 2008 semi-finals
This poll is closed.

Germany beating Portugal *and* Ronaldo rightly thinks nothing will stop them now. Turkey *always* able to come back in the final minutes rightly thinks nothing will stop them now.

Russia beating the favourite Dutch with their own weapons rightly thinks nothing will stop them now. Beating Italy after 88 years, Spain rightly thinks nothing will stop them now.

For those of you who aren't fans of the sport and who are maybe even slightly bewildered by the whole affair, a few numbers to show you how popular the sport is here. The last two games by the German team were watched by about 30 million people here in Germany, which translates into about an 80% audience rating of those who had turned on the TV. And I suspect numbers in other European countries are very similar.
