Redbelt, Meet Dave, Tracey Fragments, I'm A Cyborg, But That's Ok, Life Before Her Eyes

Redbelt     HD480p 36MB   HD720p 84MB
Entirely different trailer for this action drama written and directed by David Mamet (Heist, The Spanish Prisoner, House of Games). It's about a Jiu-jitsu master (Chewitel Ejiofor) who has avoided the prize fighting circuit, choosing to instead pursue an honourable life by operating a self defence studio with a samurai's code. He and his wife (Alice Braga) struggle to keep the business running to make ends meet. An accident on a dark, rainy night between an off duty officer (Max Martini) and a distraught lawyer (Emily Mortimer) puts in motion a series of events that will change his life dramatically introducing him to a world of promoters (Ricky Jay, Joe Mantegna) and movie stars (Tim Allen).
The trailer is so different that it could be from another movie. The first trailer.

Meet Dave     HD480p 43MB   HD720p 108MB
Sci-Fi comedy about a crew of miniature aliens who operate a spaceship that has a human form made in the image of its miniature-sized captain (Eddie Murphy). While trying to save their planet, the aliens encounter a new problem, as their ship becomes smitten with an Earth woman (Elizabeth Banks). Gabrielle Union, Ed Helms, Judah Friedlander are also part of the cast. Directed by Brian Robbins (Norbit, The Shaggy Dog).
Looks maybe a tiny bit funnier than Norbit which obviously means nothing. I sure hope it won't have the same box office success and I doubt it will also get an Oscar nomination, but you never know these days. Though Murphy has a decent chance to repeat his success at the Razzie Awards.

The Tracey Fragments     HD480p 19MB   HD720p 64MB
Low budget indie (and somewhat experimental because of the excessive use of what is described as Mondrian-like split-screen) drama about a 15-year-old girl (Ellen Page) who is riding around a pre-blizzard urban wasteland on the back of a city bus, naked except for the tattered curtain she's wrapped in, and looking for her missing brother whom she fears she has hypnotized.
The description of a "Tour de Force" by Ellen Page is certainly fitting and she's probably the main reason for a scheduled limited US release of the movie for May.

I'm A Cyborg, But That's Ok! - Saibogujiman kwenchana     18 MB    French 15 MB
Finally a trailer with English subtitles for Park Chan-wook's (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance) latest movie. It's an absurd comedy about a girl who thinks she is a combat cyborg who checks into a mental hospital, where she encounters other psychotics. Eventually, she falls for a man who thinks he can steal people's souls.
As you can see from the trailer the movie is entirely different than Park's movies that formed his revenge trilogy. I've already seen it and it's not easy to describe. Fans of Michel Gondry should have a look though I'd say this one is harder to watch. Additionally, an entirely different trailer with French subs.

The Life Before Her Eyes     HD480p 30MB   HD720p 103MB
The full trailer for this intense drama about a suburban wife and mother (Uma Thurman) who begins to question her seemingly perfect life and perhaps her sanity on the 15th anniversary of a tragic high school shooting that took the life of her best friend. In flashbacks, Diana is a vibrant high schooler (Evan Rachel Wood) who, with her shy best friend Maureen, plot typical teenage strategies, cutting class, fantasizing about boys and vow to leave their sleepy suburb at the first opportunity. Directed by Vadim Perelman (House of Sand and Fog).
A little too intense for my personal taste but it sure looks interesting. Though from what I read it's also somewhat controversial.
