A look at Brian Clough's (Michael Sheen) 44-day reign as the coach of British football club Leeds United in 1977, the time when championships weren't decided by whether the billionaires du jour come from Dubai or Russia. Jim Broadbent plays the clubs' chairman, Timothy Spall is Clough's assistant, and Colm Meaney his predecessor.
The fact that the coach didn't achieved anything during that time makes it slightly puzzling why there's a movie about him but the very fun looking trailer shows that he was quite the character. And besides the interesting cast there's also Peter Morgan who wrote the screenplay (like he did for The Queen, The Last King of Scotland and Frost/Nixon) who said in an interview: "It deals with themes I love: Alcoholism and self-destruction and psychotic male competitiveness and treachery. Exactly like politics."
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past HD480p 50MB HD720p 92MB
Romantic comedy about a committed bachelor (Matthew McConaughey) who is invited to his younger brother's (Breckin Meyer) wedding. Just when it looks like he may single-handedly ruin the wedding, he is visited by the ghosts of his former jilted girlfriends, who take him on a revealing and hilarious odyssey through his failed relationships - past, present and future. Jennifer Garner, Emma Stone, Lacey Chabert, Michael Douglas, Anne Archer, Christina Milian and Robert Forster are also part of the cast. Directed by Mark Waters (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Just Like Heaven, Mean Girls).
Looks a bit uninspired to me and I get the feeling the trailer reveals the whole story.
The Burning Plain 13 MB
Trailer from France for this drama with multiple but connected story lines. One is about a restaurant manager (Charlize Theron) whose cool, professional demeanor masks the sexually charged storm within. One day a stranger from Mexico confronts her with her mysterious past. Another one is about a housewife (Kim Basinger) who has a passionate affair with a married man.
This is the directorial debut of Guillermo Arriaga the writer of Babel, 21 Grams and Amores perros. After there was some controversy between him and Alejandro González Iñárritu about who was the most responsible for Babel this movie was seen a bit as a response by Arriaga. Reviews after the movie's debut at the Venice Film Festival were mixed since by now movies with interconnected storylines seemed all too familiar.

The Mutant Chronicles .mov 19MB HD .wmv 71MB
Redband trailer for this dark and violent sci-fi action movie based on a role-playing game and/or computer video game. It's the 23rd century, Earth's natural resources have been exhausted by mankind and battle rages between soldiers of four leading Corporations. But they also have to face another enemy, hordes of hideous necromutants, with boneblades that grow from their arms. Thomas Jane plays a soldier, John Malkovich a corporate leader, Ron Perlman the leader of the Brotherhood, an ancient monastic order, keeper of the book that contains the prophecy of the rise of the mutants. Devon Aoki, Benno Fürmann and Pras are also part of the eclectic cast.
Available reviews confirm that it's visually interesting but the story is a bit of a mess.
