11:50 am - Brokeback Mountain, Doom, Wolf Creek, Occupation: Dreamland, Flightplan Brokeback Mountain 6 MB rapid An epic love story about a ranch-hand and a rodeo cowboy who meet in the summer of 1963, and unexpectedly forge a lifelong connection. The two cowboys are played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger, directed by Ang Lee. Michelle Williams, Anne Hathaway and Linda Cardellini try to provide some balance. I hesitated to post this trailer because the quality isn't very good and I think the aspect ratio is also screwed. This isn't very surprising since the source is a streaming link from cnn (it's getting a bit tedious to track all of them down). But judging from my flist, the interest is rather huge, which surprises me a bit. But then again, if the leading roles were played by, let's say, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba I would probably think differently. Uploaded via rapidshare (Select 'free' at the bottom of the page and then wait a few seconds until the download link appears, again, at the bottom of the page).
Doom 25 MB The full trailer for this horror/action movie based on the popular computer game. The Rock gives away the main plot line (spoiler-warning!): Kill everything that breathes. Karl Urban and Rosamund Pike are also part of the cast. Mainly for people who like to pay to see a two hour game trailer.
Wolf Creek 10 MB The full trailer for this horror movie from Australia. A chilling, factually-based, story of three road-trippers in remote Australia who are plunged into danger when they accept help from a friendly local. Looks very bloody, just like movie like this usually do. Movie opens in the UK in September and in the US in November.
Occupation: Dreamland 11 MB Another documentary about the soldiers on duty in Iraq. It shows the everyday life of the soldiers and by watching the trailer you get a feeling how far removed from reality the politicians and the talking-heads TV really are. It's similar to Gunner Palace, some critics even liked it better, which I can understand because this one seems less noisy. Limited release in the US in September.
Flightplan 31 MB Bonus: More than 6 1/2 minutes of scenes and a trailer-like ending for this upcoming thriller in which Jodie Foster plays a bereaved woman who flies home with her daughter from Berlin to America. At 30,000 feet the child vanishes and nobody admits she was ever on that plane. It also features Sean Bean in uniform, Peter Sarsgaard and Erika Christensen. The trailer.

Comments:
Finally! Something vaguely resembling a real trailer for Brokeback Mountain! Thank you so much ^_^ Those of us who have been following the film in its development have been living off a few preview shots and a couple seconds of footage here, a couple seconds of footage there....
Also snagged the Flightplan clip!
You're welcome. :) By 'following the films development' I hope you don't mean those despicable paparazzi shots of Heath Ledger. ;) Yesterday also surfaced two very mysterious, short clips from another movie, maybe you want to have a look. Clip1 Clip2
I hope you don't mean those despicable paparazzi shots of Heath Ledger. ;)
**blinks innocently** I'm sure I don't know what you mean....
As for the River clips - OMG, thank you! I've seen Session 416 but I thought Session 1 was a myth (this one person kept saying he'd seen it, but he wouldn't share so I thought he was lying....)
I would really like to be able to pretend that I know exactly what sessions you're talking about, but let's just say, if it makes you happy, it makes me happy. :)
(I know what movie/series it's from, but since I'm familiar with neither of them I can share your joy only indirectly. But that's enough for me.)
**laughs** Thank you very, very much ^_^
Isn't it wonderful to see it coming to life when at the very beginning it was so hard to believe that the people in Hollywood will actually come through for us and let it happen? And Gunther! *stares* the interest is rather huge, which surprises me a bit. Has your experience with me and whydeewhyax taught you nothing? Man on man action is DAMN HOT! ... As you were. ;)
That was supposed to be deewhydeeax. I have no idea what's wrong with me. *sigh*
I've no idea either why you possible could've been confused. :P *whistles*
*snorts* I sense you're trying to insinuate something. No, don't attempt to deny it! I saw you snickering. And I'd be truly offended if I didn't think I can return the favor when that Dawson/Alba version will be out. ;)
I certainly won't deny that you had some difficulties finding the right link to leave a comment and writing Dee's LJ name correctly. :P
Ah, no. I meant to reply to ayrdaomei and you in the same comment, because I wanted to ENCOURAGE THE SLASH ON! :D *misses the ' slashers penguins of the world, unite' icon* But I did have difficulties with Dee's name and I was hot and bothered. ;)
Then I obviously take the first part back.
Looking forward to the remake. :P
*lol* Yay, I'm only 50% confused. ;D
You're just thinking inside the box. There is no box! not that I'm trying to turn you over to the dark side...
As for the box, may I offer you a miror. :D
Depends what you want me to do with it. ;)
Thanks for Brokeback Mountain. :)
(Ewww, Doom...)
As I mentioned before, I'm waiting for the remake with Dawson/Alba or Beckinsale/Bellucci or Watts/Berry or .... ;D
(It's a sign of the times. Every successful computer game has to be made into a movie. No matter how stupid. Sigh!)
doom trailer...not sure if it's gonna be any good, but i'll say it again -- the rock and eomer karl urban are love.
wolf creek -- when you said "looks very bloody" i expected to be scared outta my mind. i actually watched the trailor without being spooked :-) might have to see this one. that, and i love australia and wanna hear the accents O:-)
okay, so the strikeout doesn't look anything like "eomer" but that's what it says :-)
Watching Doom seems to me like a high price to pay for those two guys. But I'm obviously in no position to make an objective judgement. :) But let's say Angelina Jolie wasn't exactly secondary when I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Oyster Farmer had some nice pictures from Australia recently. Much less violence and I think there were some accents, too. :)
i liked mr. and mrs. smith. and not just for mr. pitt. he's eyecandy, but he left jenn *argh*. k, won't go into that.
*downloading oyster farmer*, which i somehow missed earlier. accents <3, that guy's eyes = beautiful
Mr. and Mrs. Smith was excellent fun. Not as good as Ocean's 11, but I nevertheless enjoyed it immensely. |
