01:12 pm - I Am Legend, Brave One, Hot Rod, Romulus My Father, Heartbreak Kid, DOA: Dead or Alive I Am Legend HQ 19MB HD480p 36MB HD720p 96MB First teaser for this sci-fi action thriller about Robert Neville (Will Smith) who is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. Since the teaser doesn't give more of the plot away I will also just mention the references that the movie is based on the novel from Richard Matheson and is a version of The Omega Man (with Charlton Heston) and The Last Man on Earth (with Vincent Price). Directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine).
The Brave One HQ 30MB HD480p 47MB HD720p 103MB Psychological thriller in which a New York radio host Erica Bain (Jodie Foster) has a life that she loves and a fiancé (Naveen Andrews) she adores. All of it is taken from her when a brutal attack leaves Erica badly wounded and her fiancé dead. Unable to move past the tragedy, Erica begins prowling the city streets at night to track down the men she holds responsible. Terrence Howard plays a dogged police detective. Directed by Neil Jordan (The Good Thief, The Crying Game, Breakfast on Pluto). I'm not sure if I would be interested in this movie at all if it had a different cast and director (let's just pretend for a moment that Flightplan doesn't exist).
Hot Rod HQ 70MB HD720p 119MB A full trailer for this action comedy about self-proclaimed stuntman Rod Taylor (Andy Samberg) who is preparing for the jump of his life. Rod plans to clear fifteen buses in an attempt to raise money for his abusive stepfather Frank's (Ian McShane) life-saving heart operation. He'll land the jump, get Frank better, and then fight him, hard. It's directed by "Saturday Night Live" director Akiva Schaffer and SNL members like Jorma Taccone and Bill Hader are also part of the cast. Non-SNL cast members are Isla Fisher and Sissy Spacek. The fact that it looks very low-budget should be a plus.
Romulus, My Father 4 MB Roxburgh Video Diaries Drama set in rural Australia in the 1950s about Romulus (Eric Bana), a deeply moral father, his beautiful but depressive wife Christina (Franka Potente), and their struggle in the face of great adversity to bring up their son. It is a story of impossible love that ultimately celebrates the unbreakable bond between father and son. Marton Csokas is also part of the cast. Additionally, a link to a clip in which director Richard Roxburgh talks about the movie and another one that leads to 16 video diaries about the shooting of the movie.
The Heartbreak Kid HQ 34MB HD480p 49MB HD720p 119MB Trailer for the latest movie from the Farrelly Brothers (There's Something About Mary, Shallow Hal, Stuck on You). A comedy about a newlywed man (Ben Stiller) who believes he's just gotten hitched to the perfect woman (Malin Akerman) and then encounters another lady (Michelle Monaghan) on his honeymoon. The jokes are as subtle as you might expect from a Farrelly Brothers comedy. I like how imdb lists "Stupidity" in the plot keywords.
DOA: Dead or Alive HQ 25MB HD480p 40MB HD720p 103MB Interviews, BTS A new US trailer for this adaptation of a video game that will now, after being repeatedly delayed, get a theatrical release in the US starting this weekend. It's about four female fighters in a competition to the death on an exotic island. It features the bodies of Devon Aoki, Jaime Pressly, Holly Valance and Natassia Malthe. Directed by Corey Yuen who was responsible for the first Transporter movie. Also, a link to interviews with the girls and behind-the-scenes footage.

Comments:
DOA: Dead or Alive = the Mortal Kombat movie. All it has going for it is Jamie Pressly.
Welcome back!
I hesitate to admit that at one point last year, when the first trailer came out, I actually thought this could be a fun movie.
Good to be back. :)
This is so funny, because I own DOA on DVD in Australia and am now seeing it advertised for theatres. I quite like it on the purely dorky level and it's my "junk food" movie.
It was shown here last fall too (it's in some way a German-produced movie) though I know of no-one who can prove it. ;)
I also thought it might be some Charlie's Angels-like fun movie. I'll have a look at it one day on TV.

I've seen both "The Omega Man" and "The Last Man On Earth" (yea Vincent Price!!), so I'm not sure I want to see the same movie again. You do realize they're only doing this because zombie movies have had a resurgence. :)
They were filming some of "The Hearbreak Kid" in the building next to my workplace. The sign on the door said "Untitled Farrelly Brothers Comedy, formerly The Seven-Year Bitch". Nice and subtle, guys. Feel free to remind me why I never see your movies.
So, anything good coming out? :)
I have to admit that I've seen neither one despite the fact that they have probably been shown countless times on TV. Yes I do. Though the fact that one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood took the lead role probably didn't hurt either. :)
They should call all their movies "Untitled Farrelly Brothers Comedy" and just add a number at the end :D. though sometimes they are at last somewhat funny. This one though doesn't seems to be one of the funny ones. Maybe you have to be married to find it funny. ;)
I have a couple of trailers left that I haven't posted yet. Stay tuned. :)
"I Am Legend" looks amazing!!
Have you seen the trailer for "30 Days of Night" yet? It's up on ifitsmovies.com
It looks very interesting. While there have been a couple of movies by now that showed abandoned, popular cities it's still always nice to see.
Thank you! I have it on my harddrive. I'm slowly catching up and I think I've now at least downloaded everything that got released in the last two to three weeks. :)
Ooohhh! There's a trailer for "30 Days of Night" already?!? Thanks for telling. ^_^ *hurries and goes to watch trailer*
Voila. But don't tell me it scares you. ;)
Eeeeeee!!! It's a wonderful trailer!! I am now giddy.
I am now giddy.
Then you maybe should consider a temporary LJ name change. ;)

Dear Hollywood,
Plz to not be blowing up my city in dubious near future Will Smith-starring fantasy. Granted, tall grass would actually be welcome in Times Square, but I am not entertained by the sight of my bridge gone 'splody.
Kidding (but sorta kinda not), keever
Ahem.
Also, it's really nice to see Jodie Foster. And hooray for Richard Roxburgh. Thanks!
And all that shortly after the city recovered from the latest ice age. You're welcome!

Seriously! Given the conditions we endure around here, you'd think our rents would be cheaper!
I think you should have a word with your landlord! I hope that at least there weren't too many sightings of apes and even larger species in recent months.

Nope, none recently. But that's probably because Spidey's had our backs these last few years.
It obviously also has some advantages to live in NY. :) |
